Who is this for? Cohort 6 has been specifically tailored for clinicians already placing and/or restoring implants and will focus on comprehensive, advanced restorative workflows. ​ Implant dentistry is now a routine part of restorative dental practice. The restoration of dental implants is a key part of the treatment process but it is often overlooked. ​ We are delighted to invite you to attend this unique, fully comprehensive four day programme of interactive lecture based and hands-on education. This course will give you the skills, confidence and knowledge to successfully and predictably plan and restore dental implants. Day 1: Planning to Placement Prosthetically driven treatment planning for dental implants -Treatment options for replacement of missing teeth -Prosthetically driven dental implant treatment planning – analogue vs digital pathways -Extraction socket healing and management -Decision tree for the timing of implant placement and restoration -Fundamentals of dental implant development, design and dental implant selection -Guidelines for dental implant placement and surgery – hands on placement -Consent for dental implant treatment Day 2: Biomechanics Analogue vs Digital Impression Techniques -Fundamentals of the implant abutment connection -Screw mechanics and review of implant abutment screw design -Screw vs cement retention for implant prostheses -Digital vs Analogue impression making and model manufacture when restoring dental implants -Fundamental occlusal design concepts with implant prostheses Day 3: Clinical Pathways Restoration Design, Material Selection and Prosthesis manufacture -The concept of emergence profile and implant restoration design -Indication for provisional restorations -Fundamental of prosthesis design, abutment and material selection -Digital vs analogue pathways for restoration manufacture -Passivity of fit and verification -Review of the patient journey Day 4: Fit and Maintenance Managing Complications & Restoring Multiple Units -Assessment and delivery of restorations -Maintenance of implant restorations -Prosthetic and biological complications with dental implant treatment, their prevalence and their management -Review and discussion of clinical cases -Final course review and feedback
